I want more miis in my friend list.

Seriously, a deviation where someone in a not so subtle way makes fun of
and insinuates taking pleasure in the fictional death off an "annoying classmate" titled "Fat Ass" got a DD today.


Now I don't like annoying or obnoxious people as much as the next person, but I'm utterly amazed that a piece of art that:

a. quite clearly uses the weight of a REAL person as a very negative trait.
b. Which insinuates the author taking pleasure in the death of a REAL person.
c. Is apparently shared in real life with his class/teachers and most likely known about by the "annoying person" due to this.

Can actually get a DD and not be seen as complete and utter hate art that verges on extreme types of bullying.


From what the artist said I'd probably hate the girl in question too, whatever, you don't do that shit. It's too personal and focuses on entirely irrelevant traits, simply using personal dislike as an excuse.
If someone's annoying you either ignore them, or tell them honestly their behavour bothers you. And you sure as hell don't award it with a DD.


Am I the only one extremely surprised that sort of stuff can get a DD on here? I don't question DDs when the quality is questionable, cause they're more a gift of exposition than an actual "reward". But such positive treatment of what feels like low-brow bullying shocks me to no end.

Anyway, curious if I'm the only one who feels this way.

So what's up DA?

Yo!

As the Summer's almost over I'm planning to finally start producing pages for the long-awaited reboot on my webcomic (found at www.neorice.com )

Now before I go public with it I'm gonna build a page buffer [thinking of approx 100 pages]

Another thing I'd like to do before I officially restart is ask any readers [or people who just like giving tips ]
for advice, feedback or other suggestions based on either my old comics or just their own preference
as to what I can do to make my comic as good as possible.

Considering it'll be hard to retract anything once I start I figured I'd ask one final time
for people to comment on this.

I got a DD two days or so ago and didn't even notice it, I just noticed my inbox was really really clogged for some reason. >_>


Always cool to get a DD, I just counted and apparently the piece got over 1000 favourites within this two day timeframe, that's kinda cool lol.
